Please do not send your loved one here. My loved one’s leg got infected. NO ONE READ HIS CHART, HE WAS FRESH OUT OF SURGERY and he got an infection!! If I was not there to check on him, they would have never noticed anything wrong! Every day the new RN would call a family member to ask why he was there, why does nobody read the chart? When I went to visit in person, I waited OVER AND HOUR and a half to get his diaper changed. The main nurse kept saying the CNA would do it, but she never came. It wasn’t until I threated to report them that they took action. Random patients would wheel themselves into the room, almost running over my loves feet. This location needs a better nurse to patient ratio OR it needs better qualified individuals.

Stay here was really nice. Everybody was pretty good.

As soon as I arrived I heard a patient screaming for help and no one went to help him. Also, I saw roaches. And my loved one’s oxygen tank shut down!!!! And so many other awful things I don’t even want to remember anymore.

This center is the worse. My husband was left in his nasty clothes for 4 days without being changed and unable to get out of bed. Then family called the nurse station unable to speak with him and they said they were busy and couldn’t check on him. We left messages for the director to call us never received a call back. We finally had a family member who could travel to see him. When they did we discovered his clothes had fecal on them his bedding was all over the floor and the nurse was no where to be found. He was also incoherent so he would never be able to call for help. They went to go find the nurse and she said she was busy giving meds. It wasn’t until the family member said she was dialing 911 then everyone jumped thru hoops to go check him out. She did end up call 911 herself and they transported him to the hospital to be admitted. The Nurse Director has never called us back! They also changed his clothes prior to being transported. So is this how you want your family member to be treated. How long had it been since they checked on him. His nurse couldn’t even tell the EMT how long it had been when he couldn’t really respond or his last medications were. This is NOT the place to send someone who is sick!!!!

My dad spent about 2 months here and everyone was so kind and helpful, especially Michael. He was in communication with me the whole time and he even helped to find my dad a permanent home after rehab. Thank you to everyone at Poway Healthcare!

All staff is very helpful with any situation. The nurse are very knowledgeable and helpful. The PT staff is extremely knowledgeable and very helpful and professional.

Great experience here. The whole team is nice, caring, and treats you like family or part of their team.

Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy is great here. I’ve worked with Katie, Ivan, Jawad, Jasmine, Anthony, and Doren. The transformation with my strength has been incredible. All very fun and nice. CNAs Keke, Frida, and Monica are also awesome. Food is not so good.

The staff at this facility are kind, attentive and professional. The facility is clean, well-maintained and feels like a safe, welcoming environment. My Dad received excellent care while he was there and I highly recommend sending your loved one here!

**2025 UPDATE** They tried to “hide my review” My mom was unresponsive at this facility for “12” hours, so they say????? They didn’t even have the audacity to call me and let me know she was unresponsive nor at her final walong moments!!! If I wouldnt have called up there asking to speak to my mom, I would’ve got a call saying she was dead!!!!! I hate this facility and if I could do it all over again? I’d take my mom home and keep her there! Who knows just how long she was unresponsive for?!?!!! They said 12 hours but I beg to differ! This facility and there nursing staff are by far the worst I’ve ever encountered! Please take my advise and take the time to find a better one! If not then I HIGHLY SUGGEST TO PUT IN A NANNY CAM!!! I didn’t want to post this picture of my mom but I feel I could be helping someone by showing just how horrible this place is. If you look at my mom’s face, you can see that her head had been at a side slant to the right for so long, that her nose started to stay as if it was molded that way… The other photo of her is just a week or so before she past. This place killed her. The staff is not there because they care. They’re only there to do the minimum and get paid. The cuts above my mom’s right eye are unexplained also. I turned her head and she had scars and bruising on the whole right side of her face and ear. Please take my word for it, don’t put your loved one in this facility for nothing. They also had her food tray on her potty 😷😠

The places are nice and clean. The LVN That stuff stand out was Pardis, Haylee, Gloria and Alonzo. CNA That stand out was Rowana, Zeyi, Susana, Lupe and Elizabeth. The meal was disappointing it didn’t help me with my blood sugar reading. Administration and discharge nurse was disappointed. Wound nurse was exceptiona helpful Bernanice and Haylee. Thank you .

Do not bring your loved one to this place. My one star is for 2 caregivers who went above and beyond. Most are standing around talking. The smell! The food served is atrocious. I got my mom out of there ASAP.

Stay away from this place. My wife has been here for almost 3 weeks. The “nurses” ignore patient requests for basic needs. There are dementia patients roaming the halls and into the rooms unchecked or supervised. My wife reported a constant headache to Dr. Gahndi who told her it’s because of the uncomfortable beds, mind you she is a stroke victim. Today she woke up with her chest hurting, this is the original reason she is here because she caught pneumonia, and was ignored again. Her checkout was scheduled for 11am today. I got here at 10:30, her paperwork isn’t done, her catheter hasn’t been removed, and woke up with the chest pains. The people here do not care. Keep your loved ones safe and find a other place.

My mother was recently in Poway Healthcare Center for short term rehab following hip surgery. The PT dept did a good job reaching her goal of being able to transfer from bed to wheelchair. The speech therapist was excellent in evaluating her for swallowing ability, making appropriate dietary orders, & communicating with family. The charge nurse, Amy, was very helpful. She was a good listener, & took action regarding our questions & concerns. The nursing staff overall was very competant & caring. We appreciate all of the staff’s efforts to make it possible for my mom to return to her assisted living facility. Thank you!

Poway healthcare center has exceeded my expectations the moment I knew about them! The admissions team including Lidia and Michael are always so responsive and make things easy to navigate. The facility is filled with caring staff also including the administrator Austin, Pooja the rehab director, Izzy the DON, Tatiana social services director, and all the wonderful team members that coordinate the fun activities 🎤 🎶 💃 If family is what you’re looking for, family is what you’ll find 😊
