Just wanted to give a shoutout to Dori and Kevin (Poway physical therapists), for doing an outstanding job getting my wife Carol back on track. Doctors, nurses, and staff have been friendly and professional. Outstanding care all the way around.

The doctors able nurses were extremely skilled and helpful.

Most of the nursing staff are great. Some of the administration could be more “hands-on”. Food is questionable due to lack of imagination. Never seems to have enough blankets or certain sizes of diapers. Most dogs are allowed to visit with rabies certificate.

My dad has been at Poway Healthcare Center twice after two different falls. At first he was scared and didn’t want to stay because of things he’d heard about nursing homes. But within minutes, a nurse named Pawan greeted him warmly and started calling him ‘Baba,’ which made my dad smile and feel safe. Pawan jokes with him, makes him laugh, checks in often, and helps with personal care like showers every few days—even when he’s not the assigned nurse. That extra kindness changed everything. My dad actually wanted to come back the second time because he trusted Pawan and felt comfortable there. We’re truly grateful for him and for the care our dad received.

Very professional institution with the best care you would expect from a group healthcare professional who are dedicated to providing the best care possible to provide for all the patients housed there. 🙏🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏

Very poor communication with staff to family. Had a close friend who had their father staying here recently. Nurses were not transparent at all and have trouble answering basic questions. Hardly any nurses around. Would not recommend bringing anybody here.

Appreciation for CNA Pawan at Poway Healthcare Center. 5 Stars for Pawan Pawan, CNA at Poway Healthcare Center, is truly one of the best caregivers we have ever met. He goes above and beyond his duties every single day. He not only takes excellent care of his patients but is always willing to help his coworkers as well. During every PM shift, we can hear staff calling out Pawan’s name—“Habibi!”—asking for his help. He is always incredibly busy, going from one patient to another and helping staff whenever they need him. Even though he has so much on his plate, he always finds time to check on patients and make them smile and feel comfortable. Whenever the call light goes on, Pawan is one of the first people to pop in and see what is happening. His presence gives patients a sense of comfort and reassurance. The best part of this journey was when Pawan arrived at Station 2. Everyone could hear his loud, cheerful voice. My mom would hear him and smile, saying, “Poway is here!” That simple moment always brought happiness to her. Our family would also like to give Pawan a heartfelt thank you for the special care he gave my mom. He was the one who could bring her anxiety back to normal. Whenever my mom had a panic attack, Pawan always found his own special way to calm her down. In his cheerful voice, he would ask, “Mama, what’s happening?” Somehow, hearing his voice and seeing his caring smile helped her feel safe and calm again. I truly believe Pawan is an angel sent here to help patients through their journey. His kindness, patience, positive attitude, compassion, and willingness to go above and beyond mean more to our family than words can express. Pawan, thank you for everything you do—not only for the patients, but for your coworkers and everyone around you. Your hard work and caring heart do not go unnoticed. We will always remember the comfort, laughter, and happiness you brought to my mom during one of the most difficult times in her life. Thank you, Habibi, for being you. You are truly one of a kind.

Hello staff of Poway you guys have an amazing team , they are always ready to jump in and assist the patients with their need’s especially Cherese Mccutchen and Marlene those two together on the 300 Hall power team is on point and very knowledgeable and helpful with all the care and responsibilities your team has to offer here at you location. I’m glad you have these two.

I am gasping for breath as I wait for my asthma inhaler. The institution confiscates all meds–which makes sense–but can’t be bothered to provide them in a timely manner when needed.

It has been a true blessing to have a peace of mind knowing that both both parents staying at Pomerado Healthcare Center are not neglected, but instead receiving the care, attention, and dignity they deserve. During what has been a difficult time for our family, Admissions Director Michael has gone above and beyond to address our concerns and ensure that our parents and family feel supported. He approaches his job with the utmost professionalism, knowledge, and compassion, always keeping the best interests of the patients and their families at heart. Michael has become a true here to our family.

My Father who is 91 years old had a severe femur fracture. I’m pleased to report that just a week ago he was discharged from the Poway Healthcare Center. A special “shout out” and “thank you” is in order to the Rehab Team. Ms. Pooja Salot, the Rehab Director was great at providing updates all along the way. And her Rehab Technicians Darren (who was amazing) and Kevin Dory, McKensie and Chelsea were great. Thank you again for all your care and professionalism.

I went by the Studio Diner before my visit to bring Miss Rhoddie her favorite sandwich, french fries and a vanilla shake. She finished 1/4 of the sandwich about 10 fries and the all the chocolate shake. She ate very well. Every medical member that I encountered was very helpful. It made my visit extremely plesant

My stay there was very pleasant and the CNA’S Rosairo and Loretto were excellent and caring. The food rating was on the low side. Mike, Admissions Director was very helpful as well.

I am so grateful for the professional and loving nursing care I received at PowayHealth Care Center across from Palomar Hospital in Poway, CA. Everyone I met throughout my several week recovery period following full hip replacement surgery by Dr. Brad Cohen there was more than friendly and very well trained. My case manager, Normalyn, and I became good friends as she regularly checked in with me thruout my stay. Every one of the CNA’s (Certified Nurse Assistants) and MN’s (Medicine Nurses) who were assigned to me saw to it that my every need was cheerfully taken care of. I especially appreciated being greeted each morning with delicious breakfasts and lunches and a big smile brought to me by Frieda, my CNA, or whomever else was there to serve me. What I didn’t expect to find in a Skilled Nursing center was such a full calendar of daily activities for all the patients who wanted to attend them. There was a gym for participation in rehab activities staffed with well trained and friendly Physical and Occupational Therapists. Bottom line, I am grateful to, and highly recommend the Poway Health Care Center for anyone who can choose this place for their recovery. Carol Dysart
